Our background
Our company was established in 2001, from Carl & Clare’s spare bedroom in London. Over the last nine years, we’ve grown and developed our business considerably. Since our move to Shropshire in 2004, we’ve established Carl Jones Design Ltd as one of the Midlands’ top graphic design and branding consultancies, with a reputation for clear, well thought out branding and graphic design solutions.
Our experience
Carl Jones Design was born out of Carl & Clare’s desire to create simple, effective ideas that work. We bring together Carl’s vast experience as Design Director at some of London’s top design agencies, with Clare’s time as a fashion and accessory designer for some of the high street’s biggest names. The mix of skills in our team enables us to approach our clients’ requirements from a variety of different angles, and to provide an approach which is individual to their needs. We don’t offer an off the shelf solution, we offer a unique, bespoke approach to everything we do.
Our approach
The first thing we do with any new client is to get to know them. Their business. Their marketplace. Their problems. Their requirements. And their people… in effect, we become a part of your team! Only when we’ve done this are we able to put together a brief, which we ensure we are all happy with. Once this has been agreed, we are then able to start the exciting part – the creative process – coming up with ideas and design concepts. This is why we never offer to do free design work as part of a pitch or a tendering process; we believe that it would compromise our way of working – how can we possibly design a logo for a client until we know absolutely everything about their business?
