Carl Jones Design is an experienced, business-minded branding consultancy established in 2003. We specialise in strategy-led brand consultancy and design – including brand strategy, brand positioning, brand design, brand implementation, brochure design, packaging design, websites and digital marketing.
From our contemporary design studio near Shrewsbury in Shropshire, we bring together over 50 years of combined consulting and creative experience to create compelling brands for a diverse range of sectors, working with local, national and international clients.
At Carl Jones Design, we work in close partnership with our clients to understand their values, their challenges and their objectives, fusing our creative expertise with a strong focus on strategy and sharp commercial awareness to build inspiring brand personas.

Advice is a given
Our role is often as brand advisor. We work pro-actively with clients to suggest what they should be doing, when to embark on x or y, what is strategic and what is tactical. From packaging updates and brand refreshes through to new territory like developing loyalty schemes we work with you to drive the success of your business.

We live and breathe design – we think in pictures and visuals as well as words. We still get a massive kick out of seeing our work out there – whether that be a brochure, a piece of signage, a website or even the side of a lorry or bus. We like things with meaning and substance – we like to build ideas into the work that we do.

Leading brands don’t happen by chance. There’s nothing superficial, accidental or impulsive about successful brands. They are successful because they use rigorous processes, research and thought. Successful organisations understand their competitor strengths and weaknesses, they leverage their own distinct capabilities and values and articulate their difference. A set of brand values, a simple mission statement and customer knowledge are vital. The 3 key messages should always be communicated – Who you are, what you do and who you do it for.
We’re not expecting you to be able to do all of that – we will do that for you. Having this knowledge and knowing when to use it will make a huge difference to your success. It also enables us to design and create what is right for you and to communicate your message successfully.
And one other thing – we don’t have a single bean bag in our studio;-)
Discuss & get to know
Stage 1 is where we get to know you and ask questions – what are your aims & goals, who are your target customers, what are your brand values, using our Carl Jones Design Get To Know Process ©. At this stage we define the full brief.
This is the fun part. We develop concepts and ideas, lots of them. We then present them to you, we make a selection as a team, we then refine further until a preferred concept is selected.
We always deliver on time and on budget. Any changes to the deadline are at your request. any budget adjustments are because you've changed your requirements.
